The workshops

Wheel taster

A$145

Saturdays, 10am to 1pm

Three hours on the wheel, from centring to your first cylinder and bowl. Most people finish two pieces they're happy with.

You take home: Two pieces, glazed and fired.

Four-week wheel course

A$420

Tuesdays, 6pm to 8.30pm, four weeks in a row

For people who want to get properly good at it. Week one is centring, week four is trimming and handles. Next course starts Tuesday 3 November.

You take home: Four to six pieces.

Hand-building afternoon

A$120

Sundays, 1pm to 4pm

No wheel. Pinch pots, coils and a slab plate, all seated at the big table. A good one if the wheel makes you nervous.

You take home: Three pieces.

Two at the wheel

A$260 for two

Fridays, 6pm to 8.30pm

One wheel each, a cheese board, and BYO wine for afterwards. Mostly couples, sometimes old friends.

You take home: Two pieces each.

Private groups

From A$880 for up to eight

Birthdays, work teams, a hen's weekend that wants to sit still for a few hours. Weekdays or Sunday mornings.

Before you book

Do I need any experience?

None. Every workshop except the four-week course is made for first-timers.

What should I wear?

Clothes you don't mind getting clay on, short sleeves or ones that roll up, and closed shoes. Short nails help on the wheel.

Can kids come?

From twelve years old, with an adult booked alongside them.

Is the studio accessible?

The studio is on one level with a ramp from the car park and an accessible toilet. Wheels adjust in height, and hand-building is all seated. Tell us what you need when you book.

When do I get my pieces?

About four weeks later. Collect them from the studio, or we post anywhere in Australia for A$18.

Can I cancel?

Up to seven days before, you get a full credit for another date. Inside seven days, you can send someone in your place.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, for any workshop or any amount from A$50. Email us and we'll send one the same day.
